On a particularly cold & miserable afternoon, a 94 year old woman (Ethal)
>was feeling extremely low, her husband had recently died.
>
>Ethal was sitting at home thinking to herself that she simply could not go
>on without him by her side. She suddenly thought " I know, I will shoot
>myself, my husbands old army revolver is in the draw".
>
>Ethal wanted to make sure that she did the job properly and so telephoned
>her doctor. Ethal said to him " why is it that in all the films and T.V.
>programs, when someone is shot, they always die immediately?". The doctor,
>wanting to humour the 94 year old said "because they are always shot in the
>heart".
>
>Ethal was a little unsure as to the exact position of the heart on an
>elderly woman and asked the doctor "where will I find my heart?. The doctor
>replied "under your left breast".
>
>Later that day, Ethal was admitted to hospital with a gunshot wound to her
>left knee.
